Peachtree Golf Club

I have an invitation to the 50th celebration of the Peachtree Golf Club. On the front is a photo of 4 men walking together over obvious farmland, presumably where the golf course was eventually placed. At on end of the group is Bobby Jones, one of the most famous golfers ever and winner of the US Amateur, US Open and PGA Championships. He was a notable attorney in Atlanta as well. At the other end is Robert Tyre Jones, famous golf course architect and designer of Peachtree Golf Course. In between walks my father, an enthusiastic founder pf Peachtree Golf Club. There was only one problem: the course proved to be too long for my father’s game so he did not play there very often. Brookhaven Golf Course was much more to his liking. When Daddy died, Charles took over his membership. He did play the course.
