H Frederick Krimendahl, 2nd Lt at Brookley AFB with stray pet

I’ll wager that this photo of Fred Krimendahl is completely unique. Fred was one of the MBAs that came to Brookley drag my second summer. He was also an influence in my applying to Harvard Business School. We had a foursome which played bridge regularly in the BOQ: Fred, Bob Sellers, Bud Bulloch and me. We changed partners regularly and kept running scores. The score totals reflected the proficiency of the players: Fred was best, Bob and i were about equal and Bullock was last. Fred’s father was Chairman of the Stockley Van Camp canning company.

Fred went on to join Golden Sachs and rose to Vice Chairman before his retirement. He was called the “fixer” there.
