Oysters

A great feature of Mobile was the availability of fresh inexpensive local oysters. Some of us officers would buy a barrel of oysters and have an out door party opening, shucking and consuming oysters along with a keg of draft beer. Such a party on a Saturday afternoon was and remains hard to beat!
