Lightning bugs:

A natural phenomenon that may no longer exist was the broad and thick occurrence of “lightning bugs”, more widely known as fireflies. During most summer evenings, before darkness set it, the air around “87” would be thick with this marvelous insects. They were easy to catch and we would put several in a glass jar for “light”, not long but long enough to enjoy them.

Looking back, lightning bugs were co pure magic!
